Microsoft has announced new Microsoft Windows Phone 7.8 Release Date, in a blog post Wednesday. There was a rumor running about Windows Phone 7.8 that it will be launched in 28th November. But Microsoft just made a blog post about the release date. They are planning to complete all require test run and remaining task within this year and will release the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7.8 early 2013.

Microsoft wrote in their blog post.

We know you’re eager to get the Windows Phone 7.8 update, and we want you to know that we’re working closely with our hardware and carrier partners to get it tested, approved, and rolled out to as many devices as possible in early 2013.

The blog post said that Microsoft is working on Hardware and Carrier partners to complete the testing step of the Windows Phone 7.8. As well as, Windows Phone 7.8 will have some cool features like

  • Resizable Live Tiles
  • Theme colors will be double to 20
  • New Start Screen
  • New Lock Screen Password System
